Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona

My husband was hired on as General Manager of termite division of a pest control company, he has been working in this position for 2 yrs, it was agreed when he got hired that he was to receive a salary plus commission. just recently his boss informed him he was no longer going to pay his salary and was raising his commission amount he has never missed a day of work and has gone above and beyond his job to help the company not asking for anything in return. So my question is can he take away his title and cut his pay for no reason. we live in az.

The short answer is yes. The employer controls job titles and salary which means the employer can change both without being subject to court supervision as long as the changes are non discriminatory for men, women or based on race religion disability, etc.
