Legal Question in Military Law in Arizona

Help with re-entry

Hello,

I have been out of the Navy since 1997. I was discharged with an Other-Than-Honorable discharge. My DD-214 has a separation code of HKQ(No Information On File) and an RE-4 code.

I know it is said that it is rare for anyone with an RE-4 code to get back in to any branch of service, but I'm not sure what the ''no info on file'' SEP code is supposed to mean exactly. I am looking to get back in if I can to either the Navy or Army (National Guard). Maybe the HKQ code will help, but what can I do to re-enter? What steps must I follow in order to get this over-turned, waivered, or whatever else the process entails.

I appreciate any assistance and/or you can give me.

Thank you

Re: Help with re-entry

You can apply for a waiver (rare) to join the military. You can try to have your military record corrected. Feel free to contact me if you need help.
