Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

Auto Accident Compensation

How much compensation is reasonable for a soft tissue injury from an auto accident? I was rear-ended and suffered whiplash, headaches, dislocated ribs and shoulder pain and was treated for 1 year with Physical Therapy, Chiropractic care and massage. The insurance company has offered me $2000 over my medical expenses as they say this was just a soft tissue injury, regardless of the amount of time I spent in treatment. Is this reasonable?

No, that seems very low. I strongly suggest you seek the advice of an experienced personal injury attorney in AZ. You should be able to obtain a free consultation without further commitments.

Re: Auto Accident Compensation

The amount for possible recovery depends on a case by case basis. It is difficult to set a specific amount, however, in Washington, the normal practice is to take the total amount of medical bills, and multiply by 3 or 4. By doing so you should be able to arrive at a reasonable settlement figure. Insurance companies are known to low ball plaintiff's, I would recommend that you contact an attorney. If live in the Seattle metro area, you can contact me and I'll be happy to meet with you. My direct e-mail is [email protected] or call 206-229-7593.
