The time limit is 10 years. But, there is much more to an adverse possession claim then just the time limit. Consult an attorney to review the specific facts of your situation.

Insufficient facts are given.

Are you referring to a residential property, city lot, country lot, what?

Has the possession been open and obvious, actual in physical possession, continuous, exclusive of others, and "hostile," (not permissive)? These are the elements in Arizona, and it does not vary among counties. It is state law.
