Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

Arizona Revised Statutes 88-314(g) states that no action to recover a deficiency in the case of default on a trust deed can be undertaken if the property....is a single-family...and a certificate of occupancy has been issued.

How does one obtain a certificate of occupancy? All I can find is local zoning ordinances involving new construction and business permits. I live in Globe, Gila County, AZ.

The certificate of occupancy is issued by the city or county, when construction is completed and certifies that the premises are ready for occupancy. The appropriate building department would have a record of that.
