Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

commercial lease

We are looking at la 7 to 10 year lease to a corporation. What kind of forms do you have in your packet and would they be sufficient in protecting the landlord from early termination of this lease? Do you have the same information that you would obtain from meeting with an attorney? This is all very new to us. Also, do you know of any good lawyers that deal with real estate matters in AZ, Lake Havasu specifically? Thank you. Christi

Re: commercial lease

Law Guru sells forms for simple, standardized legal processes, like a bill of sale when you sell your car, or simple corporate forms. Questions submitted in this forum are emailed to private attorneys who volunteer to submit responses. There is no charge, and the messages are anonymous. We do not see the name of the person who submits. We are not affiliated with the Law Guru company. I have never seen their forms or packets. I use my own documents which have been refined over 30 years.

If you lease a commercial property, and you are not a seasoned, experienced commercial landlord, you are likely to get burned. Get an attorney to prepare the lease for you. Get some samples from other landlords in your area. They may share. That might reduce your attorney's search time and reduce your cost.

Good luck. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish.
