I cannot tell from the information that you are providing what the rights or responsibilities are of the owner of property which has been divided and the divided pieces of property sold to others. If all the pieces have been sold, what do you own? If you inherited the pieces which were not sold to others, then your ownership is probably controlled by and subject to the regime created when the original parcel was divided into pieces. Your pieces would be subject to the same rules as the ones bought by others.

You should get legal advice and counsel from an attorney who has had the opportunity to examine the records of the property.
