overburdening my easement

What is the legal definition of overburdening (an easement), my neighbors have an ingress/egress across my yard and they insisit on rutting it up and speeding and opening his gate over my property can i send him a certified letter stating that because its and in/eg easement, they have to stop doing this stuff?

without looking this up, I would say the access must be reasonable and without undue damage.
