Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

I have been renting the same house for 2.5 years and the owner lives out of state, now wants to sell because they havent been paying the taxes. The out of state owner[in CA,Im in AZ]-hired a real estate agent and is driving me crazy with the real estate traffic. Im have been very ill,as well,as my daug Thter. The phone calls are,I would say "harrasing". I gave the 30 notice which-I pay on the 3rd of the month, for the past 2.5years. I dont get paid until May 3rd and this real estate idiot says if my daughter and I stay the 3 days in May,that we have to pay the whole month. What are my rights? This is ridiculous, the constant phone calls from the real estate agent and I should have rights since I paid for this month[April2012].thanks.Kay.

In reviewing your question, I am not sure if you are on a month to month agreement or a longer term agreement. I am also not sure whether your agreement to rent is in writing or not. The first step in determining how to best help you is to take a look at the written agreement, if there is one or to discuss your arrangement with your landlord or property manager. If you would like to have us review your lease agreement or discuss your lease arrangements, please feel free to call Stephanie Coulter of this office at 602 462 1004 to schedule a convenient time to chat with us.
