Re: children's rights when mother passes away

Deeds are public record, since they are recorded in the office of the County Recorder. They can be viewed on the internet if they are more recent, and on microfilm if older.

Real estate cannot be conveyed away by one of the owners if others have a share, unless fraudulently done.

Is there possibly other property in the estate, personal property as well as real property?

Perhaps you should consult with an estate attorney to further investigate this matter.
