Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

forclosure and probate

Hello,

I am at a loss of what to do. My best friend died on 11/4/99 and left all

assets real and personal to me. The estate has not gone through probate and

the only asset is a town home with about $20000 in equity. The payments

have not been made on the first and second loan in 4 months and the property

has entered into foreclosure with a sale date in early September. I have no

idea what to do. The mortgage companies have not been notified of the

death. I would like to keep the property. Please tell me what I should do?

Re: forclosure and probate

Typically the value of the estate determines the type of probate process. If the value is less than $50,000 you may be able to proceed with just an Affidavit, the form is available at the Self Help Center at the Superior Court and its website.
