Living Probate

My Mother drives a car titled in my mentally disabled father's name. Can she change the title to her name?

The answer depends upon how the title is currently held. Does your mother have a durable power of attorney? It is urgent that you advise her to take the steps necessary so that she can deal with income, tax, insurance, medical decisions, and a number of other issues which require her to have legal authority to act for your father.

She should at the least consult with an attorney to learn what challenges she is facing.
