Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

My Step Father lives in Arizona, my Mom passed away in April. My step father suffered an extreme head trauma last week. The hospital Dr has inquired as to whether or not I will authorize the withdrawal of life support. He informed me that Jerry will not recover. I live in Missouri. What do the laws in Az. say reguarding this situation?

AZ law does not directly address this situation. Since you are related to him only by marriage of your mother, I don't believe that you have the legal authority to make medical decisions for him, without your having a separate power of attorney or other specific authority.
