Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Last Will and Testament

In my father's will he stated that a separate list exists that gives away certain other property. My step mother claims this list does not exist. Do I have any legal standing?

It is very common that a Will refers to a separate statement of wishes regarding the distribution of personal property. If you are unable to prove the existence of such a document, you are out of luck. It is not the first time that I have heard about someone not making such a statement at all, and it is not the first time that an interloper has destroyed such a document because they did not like the provisions made.

You'd have to find the list to have legal standing. I should note that it is common to reference an itemized list, but not actually utilize it.
