my mother reciently died in another state, Mississippi, and with another one of her daughters. With no cooperation from the daughter my sister in Miss. How do I find out about a will? Does my sister have a legal responsable to provied a will for all the heir to see?

Your message came through as pertaining to Arizona law. In fact, Mississippi law applies here. Re-submit as pertaining to Mississippi law so a Mississippi lawyer hopefully will answer.

In most states the custodian of a will has a legal duty to provide a copy to next of kin. Nowadays many assets are held in joint accounts, joint tenancy, P.O.D. (pay on death) or other automatic mechanisms, so the will does not apply--it goes to the beneficiary automatically. Just be aware of that.
