Legal Question in Workers Comp in Arizona

Husband hurt on Job at the Post Office

On May 7th 2007 My husband was hurt at work while loading a Mail truck he was taken by ambulance and was told he needed to see a Back Doctor and have a MRI done it took 2 weeks of him lying in bed in pain before we could get approval on a MRI then we waited another 2 weeks to see a Doctor He filed a claim but was told it was denied due to a PA seeing him instead of a MD which were all in the same office My Husband was in so much pain we saw who we could. His work used up all of his sick time and vacation time to give him a check since then he has had to have surgery to remove one of the herniated disk in his back he requested an advance sick leave and was denied we do not know why. We did appeal the Workmans comp but was told it will take up to 9 months for a answer we are worried about loosing his job and most of all not getting any pay checks and loosing our home Please help us.

Re: Husband hurt on Job at the Post Office

Postal employees are not covered by Arizona workers' compensation law. Your question, therefore, is technically classified under the "wrong state" because it's not state law that governs. Unfortunately, I do not believe there are any lawyers on this board who practice Federal Workers' Compensation law. If you use Google you'll find a few...don't forget to note the "Sponsored Links" on the right side of the results screen.
