Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Arkansas

chapter 13 trustee

My Aunt just passed away and has been sick for the last several months which has required me to spend money to go to Oregan from Arkansas. She passed away 7/29. This has caused me to get behind on my payments to the trustee. He has just filed a motion to drop my case. What can I do. I've been down emotionally since I filed bankruptcy. Now I feel about as low as I can go. I'm a registered nurse and just made some financial mistakes. This bankruptcy is ruining my life. (I'm 54 years old). Let me also add that Wa Mu just asked for a motion for relief of stay which has already been addressed. I received the trustee notification today.

Re: chapter 13 trustee

I am not licensed in your state, but the first thing you should do is contact your attorney. If you think you can get caught up on the plan or get the payments deferred, your attorney should be able to help you with that. If nothing you can do can stop your house or other property from being foreclosed or repo-ed (I'm assuming WaMu wanted the lift of stay to foreclose on your house or take a car or something), you may want to look into converting into a chapter 7 so you can at least get a discharge sooner than you would with a chapter 13. Don't isolate yourself, your attorney can help you.
