arson,fraud insurance claim, statements, whats going to happen?

my friends spouse had their car stolen so that it would be paid off. they filed police reports and insurance claim. the car was found wrecked and burned. She didnt know anything about it and went along with his story. he gave a recorded statement to police. later she had to give recorded statement to insurance investigator so did he. she gave hers first. when he gave his at the end he cracked and told he and a friend talked about doing it what his friend did then hes not sure. so they had to drop the claim. they believe she knew nothing. but whats going to happen to him or what can? hes got no record. plus insurance paid for rental car do they have to be paid back?

Wife appears innocent, but proving it will be a bitch! She probably will have to go to trial as I don't think the pros will let it go.

Yup, restitution will be ordered, but that is not the worst part here. Loss of Freedom is the worst part.
