attorney fees covering appeal

Once a trial is over, client found guilty, is the first appeal part of the attorney's fee from the original trial?

Attorney fees for appeal

Attorney fees paid to the trial defense attorney do not cover the appeal absent aspecific, written agreement signed by theattorney. Each appeal is a whole new case.
