Drinking in public
I was recently charged with drinking in public. I gave some friends a ride to a club. They were drinking on the way there. When we arrived they were arguing about finishing one of their beers. I needed to hurry and get home so i said ''give it to me'' (there was less than a mouthful left). I was completely sober. As soon as i did this i sat the bottle down by our car for just a second to get the keys out of my pocket. Just then 2 biker cops pull up and start threatening me with all kinds of charges and spending the night in jail for littering. They gave and only me a ticket. They didn't even test my friends for intoxication. This happened in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This is where i go to college at the U of A. My court date is on Oct. 10 and i was wondering what i should do. Please respond as soon as you can. Thank you!!
