Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Have no money Jail time ordered!

I have a judgment from 1986 that was paid off in Nov 1993 but OCSE forgot to show it satisfied. I paid perfect child support for 18 years. My ex has gone back to court and wants the $14,340 judgment plus 10% interest and the judge has now ordered me to pay $47.860 on this 1986 judgment that was originally only $14,340 in 1986!! He says if I do not pay I will have to pay this lump sum or spend 180 days in jail !! My kids are 28 and 32 with kids of their own. I live in Tennessee and my ex is in Arkansas. I do not have $47. much less $47,000!! I am losing my 16 yr business, and my home is foreclosing! This was told to the judge but he still ordered this!! Can they come after me in Tennessee for this contempt charge that I do not owe?? It is total fraud!! Please help!! Thanks in advance!!

Re: Have no money Jail time ordered!

They probably can come after you in Tennessee for the judgment. The age of your children is irrelevant.
