I work for a small doctor's office and I have a doctor's note from my personal doctor to miss work. The office manager is threatening to fire me if I don't come in. Am I covered under the FLMA to miss work and not be in fear of my job.

Unless you work at a site where your employer employs more than 50 individuals within 75 miles of that site, then the federal law does not apply to your employer. There may be a state law that does apply, but I am not an Arkansas attorney and so cannot speak as to Arkansas law.
