Re: personal injury involving an automobile and pedestrians

Pedestrians injured in an auto accident are not guaranteed anything. A lot of things go into it. First of all, whose fault was the accident? The car that hit the pedestrian may not have been entirely at fault in the accident. There may have been another car involved. Next, the person whose fault it is may or may not have insurance that will pay. If insurance pays, they mainly pay for medical bills. They don't always pay for lost earnings, future earnings lost, etc. If the person doesn't have insurance, then you may have to try to get them to pay by either getting them to agree to or getting a legal judgment against them.

No matter what your situation, you should contact a lawyer for a free evaluation of your situation. Most attorneys would not charge you to evaluate what you should do next, after you provide a few more details. But you should contact an attorney very soon to preserve your rights, whatever they may be in this situation.
