Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arkansas

Tennant Rights

The company I was working for

recently downsized and I was laid off.

Does this allow me to break my lease

without being evicted?

Re: Tennant Rights

Most likely not (although your question is not clear as to what type of lease you want to break). Loss of employment is generally not a provision included in a housing contract that would allow it to terminate.

If you cannot afford your lease, you should contact the property owner and try to negotiate out of it. Most likely it is going to cost you a little money, but it will probably keep you from getting sued.
