Legal Question in Traffic Law in Arkansas

cop pulling over if in front of you?

I was speeding behind an unmarked police car and he suddenly pulled over and turned on his blue lights. He then proceeded to get out of his vehicle. I did not know he was a cop until I had seen him pull over and step out of his vehicle. I was still going forward at this point until I saw him make a gesture to me to pull over. He then told me that if I was ''going 81 in a 55 behind a police officer, I should think that meant to pull over'' I got a ticket for speeding here. My questions are:Can he pull me over if he is front of me instead of customarily behind me, would radar guns work as efficiently in front of another driver rather than to the side or behind a person, and does fair weather conditions during day make any difference? Do I have any legal grounds to fight this ticket which will probably be $150? Please respond and thank you.

Re: cop pulling over if in front of you?

His testimony of your speed is sufficient. Radar is not required. Pay the fine and quit looking for ways to break the law without penalty!
