Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arkansas

My mother deeded her home to my brother and myself over 10 years ago. My mother died in December 2013. My brother died October 2010. The property has gone through probate and now ready to sell. My question is what legal expenses can be deducted from the sister-in-laws portion of the sale of the property. My husband and I have been the property manager of this home for all of these years. Can an expense for that be deducted? Also, I am the one who has cleaned the home getting it ready to sell, can an expense for that be deducted?

Do you have a probate attorney? Are you the executor. The executor is entitled to fees under the law. Expenses come out of the probate. You need to talk to your attorney or go see one and explain more of the facts and details. The answer is yes, but how to get the fees is a little more complicated.
