Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arkansas

Probate of will

My mother passed away owning half of a house in arkansas. Her sister owned the other half and passed away a few months before my mom. My aunts heirs have probated her will. My mom and aunt inherited the house from another sister. My mom owed a mortgage on the house with her sister. Plus she had about 18000 in credit card debt. It took all the money I had to bury her. I then used her credits card to make the house ready and get it listed for sale. I used another credit card and bought her headstone. Im named as executor in her will. Im told Im wrong and cant use her credit to help sell her assets. Of course the home cant sell right now so I guess Im toast. The other owners have offered no help. Ive been paying the interest on the mortgage and her other bills.

Help me, Im a legal Beagle. The homes in arkansas and I live in Louisiana.

Re: Probate of will

First, your mother's Will needs to be admitted to probate. In which state did your mother live? Are you the only heir?

Second, what is the value of the home and how much is owed?

Have you considered renting the home in Arkansas? And, would the other owners agree?

Contact a good real estate agent regarding looking at the home and offering their advice on the value of the home, what it could sell for in its present condition, required repairs, etc...

This should get you started, but this will be a longer process. It would help me if you could answer the above questions.
