joint mortgage

i purchased a time share with another person. they decided that they no longer want the time share. what can i do about getting their name off of the property? i am still paying a mortgage but if i sell in the future i want to be able to without the other person. can they sign over power of attorney to me?

The other party will have to transfer their title to you in the fashion dictated by (1) the time share master agreement and (2) according to the jurisdiction (state) in which the time share is located. This may be as simple as the other party executing a deed to you. The financing folks would have to approve if there is a mortgage on it.
