Dateing under age

i have a friend who is 16 and goes out with a guy who is 21 is that still illigal if the parents approve???

I do not know of any law making it illegal; you must be thinking of statutory rape laws, which do make sexual relations with her by an adult a crime.

So going out is not illegal but puts him that much closer to the possibility of committing a crime, not to mention that many in society will assume a crime is being committed. And that is not a position I would want to be in or have a son in.

The dating is not illegal, but any sex is.
