You really need to seek counsel. I do not know if you have any type of record. I assume you made bail. If this is your first time offense you need to consult with an attorney on the procedure in California. We offer a free consult.

There are many different issues involved with keeping or losing your driver's license when you are busted for a DUI. You have given us no facts at all to analyze, and email is a cumbersome way to do it, anyway. As Michelle Drake said, you really should seek a lawyer who is experienced in DUI and DMV matters to assist you. My office is in Santa Monica, and the court I work in the most is the LAX court. You didn't say that's where your case will be heard, but you mentioned that you are a manager at LAX. Remember, each DUI starts 2 distinctly separate actions: the court action and the DMV action. Each has consequences that will affect your license. I highly recommend you have a consultation with a criminal lawyer. I'd be happy to meet and talk with you. Also remember, you have only 10 days from the date of the arrest to request a hearing at the DMV, and if you don't do it, you lose your license for sure. Best of luck. Steve Mandell

With appropriate legal help, and strong defenses and facts to go on, your best case scenario is to go to trial and win. Without strong defense facts however, your best outcome is generally to negotiate a plea bargain that might include a restricted license rather than straight suspension. You also have to timely file your DMV appeal process or lose your license for a year automatically. If you conclude you need legal representation, feel free to contact me.
