Legal Question in DUI Law in California

In Los angles I was arrested for DUI and I have had an attainment date three days after my arrest date but was released 13 hours after I was arrested and went to my attainment and they said I wasn't in the system yet even thoe my papers said to be there and they gave me a citation upon release giving me a court date two months from now, and I keep hearing that they legaly have to arraine me within 72 hours or the case gets droped.... Any truth to this?

Since you live out of town, you can avoid the trip by hiring a lawyer to appear for you. If you have a private lawyer, you might never have to appear in court at all. The lawyer you hire will be able to claim that they violated your right to a speedy trial, among other defenses you might have. Don't get convicted if you can avoid it. Call me anytime if you want to talk.
