Legal Question in Disability Law in California

Let go while 7 months pregnant

I understand that a 7 month pregnant woman can be let go if her current position was eliminated. In this situation, the woman told her manager that she had a high risk pregnancy. The next day she was let go. Do you think she'd still have a good enough case to attempt to receive a better seperation package? Currently her severence would stop the same month her baby was due.

The State of California has some of the strictest laws regarding discrimination regarding pregnancy. When coupled with the Federal Laws, it is very likely that you have a case.
