Legal Question in Disability Law in California

Construction at my workplace leaves me with no disabled parking

I suffer from severe arthritis & other medical conditions that limit the distance I can walk. I am currently seeking medical assistance for these conditions & my employer is well aware of my health issues. Two construction projects (1 will take over a year) are taking the parking spaces for their site around my building. There will be NO handicap spaces near my entrance to the building. Aren't my employers/company obligated to provide handicap parking during the duration of the construction at my entrance to the building? How can I get them to accomodate me on the handicap parking? They don't seem to care & I've already expressed my concern to several different people.

The employer is required by law to provide such spaces, so your reasonable written notice to the correct management personnel should get your accommodation. If not, contact me to discuss your rights and remedies. It may only take an attorney letter to remedy, it may justify suit in an extreme case.
