Your question was just posted as of 9-21-2000. Your friend should definetly consult with an attorney. The fact of his blindness does not eliminate his potential of a valid case. Any facility must be maintained in a reasonably safe condition. Depending upon the source of the water and/or the lenght of time it was present and/or the time when the area was last inspected there may be liability upon the facility for its presence. My office has handled hundreds of these type claims and lawsuits. I may be contacted at 818-760-0100, ext 101.
