Legal Question in Disability Law in California

Hi, I had surgery on September 4th 2012 and my doctor has taken me off work for 7 weeks. My company uses a outside company to process disability claims (Matrix) they said they needed to do a pre-exsisting condition investigation. The woman at Matrix said I was not likely to get approved and to file a state claim. Matrix let me know several weeks later they would cover me. At this point my company will not pay me until I have a state disability certificate. I have had to use personal time because I need to take care of my family. I have asked the woman at Matrix if I dropped the state claim could she pay me, she told me she would drop my claim if I dropped the state claim. I feel the amount of time has been excessive as I called Matrix on 8-10-2012 for my September 04 surgery. I need some advise on what to do next.

Your question is not clear. Are your injuries work-related? If yes then state disability will pay you benefits as long as a doctor certify you for disability. State disability will be reimbursed by the insurance company. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
