Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California

I have anxiety issues that prevent me from properly protecting my best interest while under pressure. Knowing this about myself adds to the disorder and causes me FTAs consistantly. I figured out that with reasonable accommodations i could come to courthouse on a day that I was able to and then they could add me on. However, the anxiety was ovious and the confusion it creates is debilitating. I cannot rationalize. I cant even comprehend. And the confusion is blaitant. I was sentenced to 46 days straight time in jail and a no bail warrant issued for my arrest. This was done at a courtdate that was arranged and not a walk-in type accommodation. They wont resee me on the matter as I was not present when they concluded this case. It has been 2 years hanging over my head and the warrant has made me ineligible for the amnesty offered last year on old tickets. But the warrant info line had no record of it in Dec. I asked for status of warrant in Jan.. They offered me to the judge and make a plea to get another courtdate. did that and plead "not guilty". The courtclerk said after that,"there has been a mistake and your warrant was lifted by the clerk in traffic. It will be reinstated today. Now I call the warrant info line and they do have record of it now. What happens to the fact I plead on that day before the judge and he wasnt in courtroom when I was informed of the mistake. Also, what about the error they made 2 years ago that put the warrant status in a defunk way that it prevented me from participating in amnesty but could not be found by the warrant info line or any law enforcement facility and officers? It is a 2008 violation and 2010 the warrant was issued. But the paperwork now states that warrant issued 2013 on the 2010 court ruling.Does the acknowledgement of my condition by previous accommodations in this case being granted to me support the fact that It would not be reasonable to expect that I would make it to the prearranged courtdate that I missed and that concluded this case? I had a public defender and they say they are not aloud to assist me any further.

I'm not quite sure that I understand all of the issues but you need to sit down and talk to a lawyer. If you are still facing the possibility of jail time the public defender should be able to help you. When you talk to them, make sure that they understand that you are facing the possibility of jail. If you are unable to talk to a public defender, call you local bar association. For a small fee or for no cost they will arrange an appointment with a lawyer.

Good luck.
