Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California

Son needs help

Am resending this because I am not sure you received the first message...Son has been denied ssi or social security (not sure which one) and it could be because he has been in and out of prisons. He has a mental handicap and needs to be on medication. He has no finances. He mentioned to me on the phone that he would like to appeal. He is in his 30s and lives in the Chula Vista area in California. Any suggestion who he can contact for help? When he called me, he asked me to find out for him.
