If the company did not show they have a chance to ask for a new hearing but the first issue at the hearing will be whether they had a good reason for failing to appear at the first hearing. While I do not know what happened at the first hearing it is certainly possible that the company will not request a second hearing/ If this is the case and your wife made a decent showing she will win. Continue to submit the job search cards every two weeks and she will be entitled to a lump sum payment if she wins.

Good luck
