bankruptcy affecting lease
If I file bk does it void my lease on the house I am renting?

Not if you're current on payments. If it's a lease for a period of time, though, you would have to list the lease on the appropriate BK schedule.

The answer depends on which chapter your are filing With a chapter 7 you can discharge the lease obligations as well as any recent judgments
