Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

My boyfriend added me to his checking and savings accounts. Afterward I found out he was filing bankruptcy. Will this have any affect on me if there aren't any loans through his bank. We don't have any debts together.

His bankruptcy shouldn't have an impact on you, at least with respect to your credit rating. However, his a bank account will become an asset of the bankruptcy estate. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you do not commingle any funds with him. That last thing you need is a bankruptcy trustee trying to take your money just because it is in a joint account.
