Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Bankruptcy forms

I am on SSI, my husband is self-employed. What forms do we need to file Chapter 7? Does this relieve payments that are court-ordered from a loan? Judgements against his business? We can't afford a lawyer so we will be doing this ourselves.

Re: Bankruptcy forms

You need the voluntary petition, all schedules (A-J), the schedules signature page, the statement of financial affairs, statement of social security number, statement of intention, statement of document preparer/attorney, and creditor matrix. You can find them all at: http://www.uscourts.gov/bkforms/bankruptcy_forms.html#official and http://www.caeb.uscourts.gov/formpubs/formpubs.asp

Good luck to you.
