Do you have to pay everything you owe back when you file for bankruptcy? What is the difference between chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy?

With a 7 you usually pay back nothing to unsecured creditors. with a 13 you often have to pay back a % but every case is different and it depends on what your assets and debts are.
