If the case was a no-asset Chapter 7, the courts will not reopen a case to add a creditor who would not have received anything anyway. This is not really a problem because the debt to the unscheduled creditor is deemed to be discharged as well. An exception would be if the creditor had a basis to file an adversary action objecting to the discharge and was not able to do so because they were never noticed.
