Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Can a dismissed bankruptcy be reinstated? I filed in 8-11....my preparer did not advise me of a post class that was necessary in order to have the bankruptcy discharged.

Yes, there is a process to reopen and then close a bankruptcy to take care of the second course. There is a filing fee for doing so, however.

A word of advice -- in the future, if you have legal needs, please talk to a lawyer! You'll avoid a lot of unnecessary aggravation.

Yes. Consult with an attorney for help with filing a motion to reopen your case.
