Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Should I file for Bankruptcy

Hello, Im not sure if filling for bankruptcy is what I need to do. I have accumulated over 34 thousand dollars on my credit cards and Im unable to make the minimum payments. The credit card companies are harassing me. I cant deal with the stress anymore. If I file for bankruptcy will take away this debit. I do not own any property. I basically only have a car, I rent an apartment. I live paycheck to paycheck. I just want to get rid of this debit; will filling for bankruptcy fix this? Ive never filled for bankruptcy so Im not sure if there is anything I should be aware in regard to the bankruptcy laws. Thank you so much for your time.

It sounds like bankruptcy may be a good solution for you. Please give me a call at (800) 492-2657 to discuss. Remember, the law changes on 10/17, and will make it very difficult for some to file bankruptcy.

I concur with the opinion expressed by another attorney that you are a good candidate for bankruptcy. The attorney you consult should hopefully have the ability ability to file your bankruptcy electronically in case you need to wait until the last minute to file. Most attorneys require prepayment of all legal fees and costs up front, so you should stop making the payments on the credit cards in order to conserve your resources.
