Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

To file or wait for potential lawsuit?

My neighbor trespassed on my property again. My pet was on leash and she stated he bit her.I did not see him bit:I did see him jump up.I asked to see bite:saw none.Regardless:she went to hospital:called animal control & pet is quarantine.Have had numerous problems w/these neighjbors & their trspass & encroacment.Do I hold off filing bk papers until they forward medical bills and/or potential small claims or add them for precautio in bk filing?I would prefer they not know my financial situation unless it needs to come out: i.e. they sue.

Re: To file or wait for potential lawsuit?

You don't need to wait. Just list them with an estimated amount of their claim. It is up to them to prove up the amount should it become necessary.
