Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Need to know...

about filing bankruptcy. We have a house with a mortgage, a rental condo 25 miles from our house (which we barely break even on - if we do from year to year), and $50,000 in credit card debts. My husband just got laid off after 15 years employment with AT&T. I work as a secretary. Can we keep our house and rental unit and wipe out credit card debt? There's no way we can afford to keep things up with my husband not working - Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Need to know...

Whether you can keep the house and condo depends on their values, the amounts of liens and encubrances against each, the value of all your other assets, and many other factors. The only way to make a determination adequately is to contact a bankruptcy professional for a consultation. I suggest you visit my webpage for more general bankruptcy information and, if you like, I will be happy to provide a free consultation. http://www.bklaw.com/
