filing bankruptcy

Can one include their back taxes when filing for a bk. The amount is around $3,500.

You must list on your bankruptcy petition all of your debts, including taxes, and all of your assets. Generally, some taxes can be -discharged- in bankruptcy if certain conditions are met, i.e. that they became due more than 3 years before you file(the following April 15 is usually the due date), they were not filed later, and you haven't been reassessed.
