I have bad credit since 1996, it has been 8 years now, how would i know if any of the creditors sued me, and or if there is a judgement against me. Also, how do i clear my credit now. Thank you

Re: Judgment

The best way to find out what suits were filed against you would be to run credit reports with all 3 credit reporting agencies. In addition, I would check the court records in the county you lived in at that time. I would note that, had you filed a bankruptcy 8 years ago, you would have bee discharged in about 4 months and rebuilt your credit to A-1 about 4-5 years ago. Even though a bankruptcy is on your credit for 10 years it normally takes a fraction of that time to rebuild your credit.
