Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

How do I keep from loosing my House?

Stupidly, I paid for thousands of dollars of medical bills (and other things too)with credit cards, and then turned around and paid them off with a second and third morgage on my house. I am working two jobs, but I am worried that in the near future I won't be able to afford to keep paying on three morgages,(the money my Son receives from the RR from the death of his Father, will soon be ending). How do I keep from loosing my house?

Well, if you want to keep your house, you need to make the payments on the secured notes on the house. I'm not sure what your facts are...Are you saying you will not be able to afford making the payments on the house ever, or that you will temporarily fall behind? If it is the former, then there is not much you can do. If it is the latter, you should examine Ch. 13 bankruptcy as an option. Also, if the value of the house is less than the amount owed to any senior liens, you may be able to wipe out the junior liens on the property.
